International Church of Berne

We are an English-speaking church located in the centre of Berne. Our aim is to grow in all aspects of our Christianity. We know that this is a life-long process and so, using the Bible as our foundation, we strive to encourage each other to see this through to completion. To be a Christian often seems difficult; at the same time it is very easy because God is always at hand. The standards are high, but the rewards are beyond measure. It is certainly the greatest calling in life.

We are a group of volunteers and our main activity is to make the gospel available. To this end we hold church services in English every Sunday. We believe in the redemptive power of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, and we celebrate communion every week.

Although small in number, we are big in heart and like to support those in need. We do this financially as well as in prayer, and we also sponsor Christians who want to bring the gospel to the unsaved and needy. Our involvement is both in Switzerland and abroad.

Being international in name and also in practice, we have been involved in missionary work to East Africa since 2004. Our congregation consists of different nationalities, so we naturally have contacts throughout the world. We are excited about the diversity that exists in God’s Church, and we know through experience that humbling ourselves before God enables us to enjoy sweet fellowship. The Church is precious to Christ, so we should indeed be precious to each other.

Join us in worship, fellowship, reading the Bible, and prayer. God bless you.
